Tacoma, WA – McCarver

Bezos Academy Tacoma, WA – McCarver will open mid-October 2021!

In February 2021, we announced that our second Bezos Academy preschool will open in Tacoma, WA in the fall of 2021. Our new space will serve up to 80 students across four classrooms in the primary school building on the McCarver Elementary campus. We can’t wait to meet them!

Thank you to our partners at Tacoma Public Schools for sharing our belief that all children deserve the great start that an excellent preschool provides. Our goal is to nurture the potential in every child to become a creative leader, original thinker, and lifelong learner by increasing access to early childhood education in underserved communities.

“I’m a big believer in a Montessori-style education, and it’s what inspires our curriculum at Bezos Academy,” Jeff Bezos wrote on Instagram. “Our goal is to unlock the potential in kids to become creative leaders, original thinkers, and lifelong learners — regardless of their zip code or socioeconomic background.”

For more information, please read our community host’s announcement.
